Alexandria is a new, visionary virtual space to showcase the official xR selection of the Cannes XR and NewImages Festivals, within a social, accessible, experience oriented environment.
Alexandria's portals opened to the public in the spring of 2022, and with it introduced newly forged partnerships between Kreis and the two leading immersive technology and cinematography marketplaces.
This futuristic world encompasses the best of international VR creation, and is designed to host immersive events throughout the year.
A world unlike any other
The nascent space, named after the vital transit point and cultural center of the ancient world, was entirely reimagined for the metaverse of tomorrow. The space port consists of a welcoming, ethereal assembly hall as well as two individual auditoriums, designed to host short films, Interactive VR games, theatrical and immersive audio experiences, 360 degree VR video and fully interactive 6DoF experiences, all powered by the Kreis Podium platform.
The ‘Port of Worlds’ enables visitors to depart to different virtual realities and enjoy exceptional immersive movies and VR experiences, together.

12 exquisite pieces of extraordinary variety, bursting with imagination, housed in a custom designed virtual structure with welcoming halls and spectacular outdoor spaces perfectly designed to meet, talk, interact and connect.
Emotionally intense virtual reality journeys, intimate, textured and layered stories with abstract subjects - our audience members were able to take part in these interactive experiences, glimpse virtual memories and live emotions, and change stories with just a gaze, a gesture, or their voice.
